About Stefan K. Heider
In 1992 I saw the light of day in the middle of the mountains and grew up in a sleepy Salzburg mountain village called Goldegg. A very inspiring area. Today I have been living in Graz for over ten years and studied German there.
My first years of life were very quiet, as I was born hard of hearing to almost completely deaf. Fortunately, this could be corrected surgically, so I got to know the world of words relatively late. I don't remember this, but I do remember how much words fascinated me from an early age.
Writing means freedom to me. I love to tell stories and touch people with my words, to inspire, and above all, to entertain.
As an author and artist, I'm always interested in expressing myself creatively in other ways as well - with music and programming, for example. So, on the side, I've been part of the grunge-pop band Oxyjane since autumn 2022 and am working on my first video game on the side. Grandma would say I dance with one ass at two parish fairs.
All my novels are currently only available in German. My first publication was in 2015, the fantasy novel Geschichten aus Falenisa: Der Spiegel von Echenon, which I published under the pseudonym Vincent Theodor Thomas. But I've always been inspired by my homeland, too - which is how I came up with my socially critical anti-crime novel Bauernschädel, set in Goldegg, which was published in 2018. 2023 saw the release of my latest novel and follow-up to Bauernschädel, Die Saat von gestern.
Currently, I'm working on two more novels and always have exciting side projects.
I'm happy if I can inspire you with my stories and artwork and if you want to get to know a piece of my world.
It's always nice to hear from readers. So if you want to put a smile on my face, feel free to email me or contact me on social media!
We see, hear, and write to each other!
Best regards, Stefan K. Heider
